It was a great celebration and a sort of joy on 4th October, 2025 among the youth and children of the Holy Childhood Association (HCA) as the Director of Pontifical mission Societies, Rev. Fr. Engr. Francis Agu introduced to them skill acquisition beginning with the production of bar soap , and liquid soap respectively.
The Chief Executive Officer, Kenmarsh company limited, Mrs Martina Omugo, and Miss Shalom Omugo( a 13 year old girl and a member of HCA) taught them how to production of the bar soap.
Rev. Fr. Engr. Francis Agu displayed his expertise as a PhD holder in Chemical/Environmental Engineering by producing the liquid soap before the children and the youth. Prior to that, he gave lectures on the bench reagents needed such as Natrosol, Sodium Hydroxide, Texapon, Sulphonic, Ash, Sodium Lauryn Sulphate, Stain remover, Preservative, Perfume,and Colour. Some priests witnessed the event – Very Rev. Fr. Paschal Nwosu, the Vicar for Youth, Catholic diocese of Enugu, and Rev. Fr. Nestor Ngwuife.
Fr. Paschal expressed his profound gratitude to Fr Francis for catching the children young, and teaching what will help them in future.
On the other hand, Fr Nestor thanked Fr Francis and his team for being so creative , and humble carrying the children around.
Both of them commended the great efforts of the HCA coordinator, Rev. Sr. Sochinwe Chukwu ,DDL, and the PMU coordinator, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Kevin Udenwagu in taking PMS to a greater height in Enugu diocese.
In her closing remarks, Sr. Sochinwe thanked all and sundry and admonished the children to prepare the notes given to them very well for subsequent lectures. She equally thanked Fr Francis, her Director for such an innovative idea. She ended by appreciating the young Shalom Omugo who her fellow HCA children the production of bar soap.
Each of them the YOMM and HCA members went home with the sample of the product. A bottle of liquid soap was sent to each of the parish priest of those in attendance.
