  • Holy Childhood Association Launched at St. Dominic Parish, Nwanne di n’Mba, Emene
It was a joyful day yesterday at St. Dominic Parish, Nwanne di n’Mba, Emene, as the Director of the Pontifical Missionary Societies (PMS), Rev. Fr. Engr. Francis Agu, together with the Diocesan Holy Childhood Association (HCA) Coordinator, Sr. Sochinwe Chukwu, DDL, formally launched the Holy Childhood Association in the parish.
Rev. Fr. Agu, who presided over the Eucharistic celebrations, delivered a homily titled “Your Star Must Shine.” He urged children to be hardworking and to place their trust firmly in God. He also called on parents to support the spiritual growth of their children by “catching them young” and guiding them in faith. The message resonated strongly, with many children expressing interest in joining the association.
In his remarks, the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Stanley Ikeche, expressed gratitude to the diocesan Bishop and Auxiliary Bishop for their consistent encouragement and support of the Holy Childhood Association across the diocese. He further appreciated the PMS Director, Rev. Fr. Agu, and his team for their tireless efforts in mobilizing children parishes by parish for missionary formation.
Fr. Ikeche also commended his Curate, Rev. Fr. Paschalis Oforkansi, for his dedication in teaching and nurturing the children of the parish in preparation for the launch.
The event marked another milestone in strengthening the missionary spirit among children, as St. Dominic Parish joins the growing number of parishes in the diocese actively embracing the Holy Childhood Association.
